Shipping Policy
All items are shipping via Australia Post and we ship all items either on the same day or following business day when payment is received. As such, we are unable to accept liability or responsibility for items lost, stolen or damaged in transit by Australia Post. In the case of expensive items such as porcelain or vinyl dolls, all orders are shipped via registered post which entitles the recipient to up to $100 in coverage for lost or damaged items. In addition, we offer the option of having your shipments insured through Australia Post as per their additional fee schedule. If you desire to use some other shipping company, please select Request Freight or International Shipping for both shipping and payment method during checkout and we will be happy to do what we can to arrange another service for you at whatever their going rate is.
Domestic Shipping
All shipments within Australia are charged at the rates calculated through the official Australia Post online shipping calculation module. Calculations are based on the weight and volume of the item to be shipping. In the case of small items, weight is the only factor considered. However, in the case of larger or what Australia Post considers to be oversized packages, a volumetric or cubic weight method is used to calculate the actual postage charge. For example, if a doll in a box weights 2.3kg and the size of the box is 57cm x 22cm x 13cm, Australia Post with calculate the rate for the shipment via their cubing rule as a parcel of the up to 5kg rate. If the box weight 2.3kg and was small the rate would be calculated on the 2.3kg alone. In the case of multiple large item shipments this calculation becomes even more complex since overall shipment measurements must be determined. If you wish to buy multiple large items, please place them in your cart and checkout using Request Freight or International Shipping Quote for both shipping and payment method. This will allow you to make the payment afterwards once the postage has been adjusted for you and your order has been updated. If you intend to pay using Paypal, you will have to make manual payment, there is a section below explaining how to do this.
International Shipping
All shipments outside of Australia are charged at the rates calculated through the official Australia Post online shipping calculation module for international parcels via air. Calculations are based on the weight and volume of the item to be shipping. In the case of small items, the rates returned are correct. However, in the case of larger items such as porcelain and vinyl dolls, the charges returned are not correct since the weight parameter passed is for cubic measurement as described above under domestic shipping. If you wish to buy large items, please place them in your cart and checkout using Request Freight or International Shipping Quote for both shipping and payment method. This will allow you to make the payment afterwards once the postage has been adjusted for you and your order has been updated. If you intend to pay using Paypal, you will have to make manual payment, there is a section below explaining how to do this.
Parcel Tracking Information
If you select registered or insured parcel delivery we will provide you with any tracking information for your items. Please be aware however, that Australia Post has some rather odd tendencies when assigning tracking numbers to parcels. For reasons known only to them, if you send a registered parcel, the registered parcel number is not entered into their system until it reaches the destination post office. For example, if your package is sent registered from here in Perth to Sydney and you query your registered tracking number, it will report no such number in our system until the parcel actually reaches Sydney which could be several days. We have received a lot of questions on this, we provide people with the registered post number and they contact us worrying why their package hasn’t shown up in the online tracking. It does not mean your parcel has not been sent, we only get the number for you at the post office when the parcel is actually shipped. At this time I am not sure how they handle tracking on International Parcels, but we have not received many tracking related questions on international shipments so maybe it is registered into their system quicker.
Paying with Paypal manually
Many people with Paypal accounts do not realize that they can use their accounts to make payments to any other paypal account any time they wish. Most normal payments just get handled instantly during checkout and you go right to Paypals secure website to complete the order. However, sometimes due to mistakes, or in the case where you have to wait to make payment until you receive a shipping quote or some other information, you can still pay the merchant through paypal. To do this, you just log in to your Paypal account and choose to Send Money. When you do it will ask you for the email address of the paypal recipient account. In our case, if paying us, you would enter pureindollgence @ hotmail.com, without the spaces of course. You can then enter the amount you want to send. It is a good idea to include some reference so the merchant receiving the funds knows who they are from and what they are for.
Returns Policy
We value customer satisfaction highly, which is why we offer a generous refund policy. If you are ever unhappy with an item you receive from us for any reason whatsoever, you can return it to us in original condition within 30days for a full refund of your purchase price minus postage. We just can not afford to refund the cost of postage since has already been paid to Australia Post and postage is actually a separate service. I would not worry about this too much though, we have had an extremely low number of items ever returned and no unhappy customers. If you do receive something and are not happy with it, just try to package it back up as best you can and ship it back to us here at Pureindollgence, 14 Medstead Way, Butler Western Australia 6036. |
